Grass to grill.

Our meat is natural— no hormones, no preservatives, and no antibiotics. When we do things the way God intended, we are always better off.

K Bar K Meats produces clean, natural and healthy pasture raised meats.

Why pasture raised meats?

Pastured means the animal is always on pasture. Never in a feedlot or caged. Our animals and birds are always on grass (chicks are on grass within two weeks of age). Terms like “free-range” and “grass-fed” have been manipulated, so we feel pasture raised best fits our operation.

Animals that eat grass have many times the health benefits over animals kept in feedlots or cages. The cleanliness and nutritional value creates a much healthier product. Here is a list of ten basic advantages of pasture raised meats:

  1. Lower in total fat

  2. Higher in beta carotene

  3. Higher in vitamin E

  4. Higher in the B-vitamins thiamin and riboflavin

  5. Higher in calcium, magnesium, and potassium

  6. 3-4 times higher in Omega 3's

  7. Healthier ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3's (1.65 vs 4.84)

  8. Higher in CLA's (Cis-9 trans - 11) a potential cancer fighter

  9. Higher in vaccenic acid (which can be transformed into CLA's)

  10. Lower in saturated fats linked with heart disease

These (and many more) health benefits of pasture raised meats are documented and easily viewed at EatWild.

“They call this the cattle business, but really it's the people business. Cattle are only worth so much, the rest is what we make of them.”
